Prerequisites:             

4 year degree AND/OR at least 10 years experience in the commercial/institutional HVAC construction field with at least 3-5 years experience as an HVAC Mechanical Project Manager
Able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards and their impact on project activities
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Extensive computer knowledge
Excellent use of written/verbal expression and a strong command of the English language
Skilled in business

Job Description

Primary Function:
Provide overall management direction for projects and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, or geographical area.

Typical Duties:

    1. Conduct construction walks and prepare clearly written scope documents.
    2. Follow a consistent project methodology with the use of multiple software-based tools for project scheduling and documentation i.e. SureTrak, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Prolog Manager, and electronic documentation.
    3. Plan, design, implement, and manage the implementation of all new system installations and large system expansions
    4. Ensure proper resources are in place to provide effective and quality construction and support
    5. Work directly with customer regarding changes to the project scope, assessment of possible constraints and identification of solutions
    6. Facilitate necessary internal and external meetings and prepare necessary status reports to ensure project tasks are being completed in a timely fashion
    7. Prepare, maintain and submit management reports (progress reports, time recording, escalations)
    8. Identify, evaluate and conduct cost-benefit analysis for clients
    9. Track and manage cost of each project
    10. Ensure revenues are accrued and invoices are accurately processed through the accounting system
    11. Ensure the quality of each project and develop and cultivate strong customer relationships
    12. Provide first level of escalation for customer issues and escalate issues to the second level as necessary
    13. Work with union sheet metal foreman to staff and complete projects
    14. Complete project submittals, shop drawings, and field project packages
    15. Schedule equipment and subcontractors
